My boys are watching Tom and Jerry and my cat just jumped on my lap so being a new blogger is a bit challenging. There is a lot on my mind and I lot I want to get out of it! So thanks for reading. First of all, after getting a few positive comments on my blog, mostly because I found the courage to start a blog. A bit out there.
Background.
I’m a teacher. I am a teacher living in Italy. I have been assigned to children who need extra help. Therapists and professionals have all kinds of labels for these kids, but I just see them as kids in need.
The current economic situation worldwide talks about crisis. For at least seven days I am choosing to abstain from negative thinking. Regardless, after spending the summer in Los Angeles and now being back in Italy, I have found that there have been drastic teachers cuts even here.
Getting back to work was a little bit challenging but all in all, I have some great students in some great classes. Plus, I think a positive mental attitude helps.
Driving home from dinner yesterday with my youngest son on my way to pick up my eldest after school, I got a call from another Junior High School. They asked me if I was available to teach six hours of English weekly. Maybe I will be an English teacher after all. I don’t know. I’m confused. I have six days to make my decision, although I am fairly certain I will accept the job.
Whle driving, the phone rang three times and I couldn’t find it. It’s really frustrating driving at night, it’s dark out, and you hear the phone ring over and over and it’s somewhere on the ground. I tried to find a place to pull over but I found the phone first.
That’s my big news, I got an offer to teach starting in a week. Meanwhile, we have an extremely busy day planned. I have a roofer coming over this morning, we have to get a ladder. I have to bring my kids to church, then swimming, then a boy’s birthday party, then swim lessons and guess what?
Today is Halloween! Happy Halloween. one of my children will be dressed like a skeleton and the other one still has to decide between a being a Power Ranger, Batman or Spiderman.
