Thanks for sharing your Mom’s work here. I have seen it and I was wondering the materials she used making it. I find it very unique and beautifully crafted. .
She uses clay, then she sculpts it, and fires it in a kiln. After it’s fired, she paints it. I’m not sure about glazing. I’m glad you liked it.
Just wanted to update you on my mom’s blog progress. She and I put the site up 2 days ago and she’s received 148 visitors and 11 comments. I think that’s pretty awesome. She’s an awesome mom. How lucky can I be? Isn’t her work just the coolest thing? What’s your favorite sculpture? I think mine is the smoking ballerina.
Julie
Hi Julie,
Thank you for sharing your mom’s blog. She’s a very talented lady. I like the “three friends” sculpture. It reminds me of myself and my girlfriends.
I was just reading the update on your mom’s blog. She’s doing fantastic, as are you.
Barbara,
When I get a reply from an experienced blogger like yourself, I cannot help but to be honored by the comment. It’s like having a teacher come by for a visit. My mom’s been a great influence on all of us kids. She’s a real kick living in her own world with her sculptures and stories. We have to surround ourselves with strong influences, don’t we?
Thanks for the visit. Hope you come back.
Julie
