Here is exactly what is going on the heat.

I’m reading about everyone’s lives around the globe and most of my friends are reporting scorching temperatures.
How to deal with the heat?
Today I’m offering 8 tips to stay cool in the hot weather.
1) Have an Ice Cream.
I don’t know about you but I eat an ice cream quite often. It’s good for your spirit and good for your soul. I try to eat natural ice creams that are hand made because they seem more genuine. I hear if you are concerned about your weight you could always go for a yogurt or sorbet.
2) Water Park
Kids and adults love water parks. How fun are those?
3) Beach day.
Yesterday from noon to 6p it was hot. How hot was it? It was fry on egg on the cement hot. It was so hot, the squirrels were hiding their nuts in ice cream.
It was so hot the birds were asking for extra crushed ice in their bird baths.
It’s SO hot, that when you dive into the lake from the boat you have to go down a couple of feet until the water feels cool.
4) Swim pool. Just dive right in.
5) Jump in the shower to cool off.
6) Take a drive to the mountains or higher altitudes.
7) Wet your hair I remember when I was a young kid at the Hume Lake, my mom would say just get your hair wet. It seemed to keep me cool for at least a half an hour.
*8) Sleep during the day, go out in the evening. Maybe you’ll see a shooting star.
Nothing makes me happier than throwing on light clothes and going about in the evening’s hot air. There’s a special magic about it that reminds me of my carefree youth.
Enjoy your summer.
How about you? What do you to stay cool? I remember when I was a girl, we’d go running through the sprinklers. I’d love to hear your suggestions, what you do in your neck of the woods. Have a nice day! Julie

No complaints from me
Hi Julie,
You’re talking my language now. We had a heat wave which is suppose to end tomorrow, *fingers crossed*, but until then, I love your idea of eating ice cream. Now that’s something I don’t even need an excuse to eat. Yum!
I forgot about wetting your hair. But, now I remember doing that as a kid, too.
Stay cool!
When we were in Italy I ate ice cream (Gelato) every single day. There is just nothing to compare to it.
Maybe it’s good I don’t live in Italy.
BTW, whenever we go to Chinatown in NYC, we always go around the corner to Little Italy and hit Ferrara’s Cafe. Their pasties alone will do you in, but their selection of Gelato is to die for.

i love the ice cream, showers and going out at night tips
I would suggest loads of iced drinks too. Umbrellas are great to shield you from the Sun. Somehow in Singapore no one wears hats (i think this has to do with the humidity)
@ LindaLouMac ~ you’re a true pro, never complaining.
@ Barbara ~ isn’t the saying ‘an ice cream a day?’ But that is going to break out idea that blogging is low calorie. Here in Italy, they believe going out with wet hair will give you a neck ache. I usually risk it.
@ Pam ~ believe it or not, it’s actually encouraged here. I remember when I was pregnant, it was what I craved. I usually order a small ice cream that’s just one scoop. With all of the walking around we do, we usually walk it off.
@ BJ ~ great idea about umbrella. I forgot about that one. Sitting in the shade watching people go buy on a warm evening sounds like a good plan all the way around. Maybe while eating an ice cream?
Dear Julie,
Thanks for the suggestions… My personal way of handling Summer: I just remember the low temperatures of Winter and everything feel just perfect!
All the best,
Boris

Very interesting suggestions. Singapore’s pretty hot at times too. Could use some of those
