These are my tulips from my garden. They don’t bloom every year but when they do, well, there you go.
I think most people who are reading this can read between the lines and know exactly what I’m thinking. I may be wrong on that I may be right but generally speaking I think people are smart enough to tell if I’m being a true person over here expressing what my heart feels or if I’m trying to make it all look lovely with a bunch of pretty pictures and smiles.
I think you know. Then sometimes I think you know but then how could you know if I don’t tell you what is going on in my life? How could you know? Tell me. Use your words.
Words. Here they are. Ready? Since starting my blog, I’ve had a lot of fun with it. I’ve learnt that the most rewarding parts are when you receive compliments that turn into long conversations of people actually helping each other. I’ve met people I didn’t expect to meet. Hello. Nice to see you.
I’ve also learned that if I don’t say how I’m feeling you aren’t going to know. So I’ll tell you.
I’m doing well, and you? How are you?
All things considered. I’m making a decision now in this moment to be nice, to be kind, to have integrity, to be a whole person and hopefully to have a cheerful disposition.
I’m choosing to publish this article and then spend some time around the house that desperately is calling for love and attention. It’s a lot to handle. It’s a lot to balance.
Life is just an act, isn’t it, an act of balance, give and take. Who would have ever imagined that by publishing a blog I would have heard some of the comments I have heard, met the people I’ve met.
I miss my family abroad. I miss my friends who are far away.
I feel connected with them here on facebook and over the internet. Thank you for that.
I love my house — so call me a pentofola if you will. A pentofola is a house shoe or slipper generally regarded as something you wouldn’t go out in. It’s not a compliment. It’s just me being lazy and enjoying my garden.
How are your days passing? I’m working on spiritual and physical health by exercising, reading, eating well but more than anything trying to put into practice the ideas of love and forgiveness.
Each day is a new challenge and I fall short of God’s wonderful mercy and love but I pray and I start again. For the most part, it seems to be working.
As always friends, I hope this post finds you lovely, lucky and in love.
God bless. Thanks for visiting. Also on a special note, I would like to say hello to my friends who have been reading this blog since I’ve started it. It means a lot to me.

Lovely post and sharing- thank you and thank you for asking.
I am cleaning my house again for company, that feels just wonderful to write. My oldest daughter spent a year in Denmark when she was in High School. Now her lovely host family including Grandchildren, are here to camp in Canada and visit us in Washington State. They are lovely people.
First I got out all our camping gear, cleaned and prepared, and then I got transportation from the airport and they found an RV to rent, and off the went – My friend took us all on a lovely sailboat ride around Puget Sound/ the Salish Sea.
Now they are due back for 2 days, and I have to rent a SUV to go pick them and their gear up…and then just enjoy their company for 2 more days and then back to the airport.
I am enjoying the energy of children and if feels like cousins have come to get acquainted.
Our garden is in full bloom and we have fresh peas to serve.
No lazy, days of summer here
It is fabulous to have someone come and visit.
Enjoy your break and change of pace.
I love my internet friends and I am going to meet someone this summer in person – it is on my list.
happiness to you
Thank you for sharing and your honesty with us your blog friends. It’s winter here – very cold and wet so with my trusty companion (Lotte the Tibetan Spaniel) I am hunkered down for the next few weeks.
Enjoy your summer in Italy and look forward to California next year.

I understand exactly how you feel
I liked this. I’m fairly new to blogging. At the moment I find that people pop in , comment for a bit and then tend to drift away. I never presume to know anyone on here but I am really moved by the variety and colour of their lives. Sometimes I feel like saying more than i do but I realise that I only have a splinter of a picture on here. I’m so glad you popped by to say hello
integrity is really important to me too. And I like that you added cheerfulness…sometimes I’m hit by the blues….but I try
Gosh Patricia, that sounds super nice to have visitors from abroad. Denmark?! How lovely. How wonderful that your lives have intertwined. I know what you mean when you talk about the energy of children. They do seem to grow way too fast.
Hope your vacation time is wonderful. That was v. generous of you to rent a SUV. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like the perfect opportunity for you to catch up on reading and films. I bet your little friend Lotte is just adorable. You are right on the advice you left me and I appreciate it. I pray that THAT is in God’s plans.

Linda, when I read your comment it touched my heart because sometimes I think we just need to hear or read those words. So THANK YOU for that.

A splinter of a picture? I like that thought. Just tiny dots in the world of internet sharing our stories blogging away. I’m happy to see visitors here as well as your site. It’s a nice thing, isn’t it? I appreciate you taking the time to drop by, read my silly thoughts and leave a comment.
